Got any questions about our Training Centre football sessions? We understand that sometimes you just need straightforward answers to some quick initial questions. Here’s just a few of the answers to some questions that were asked frequently, so hopefully it will save you a little time.

1. Can I have a taster session?

At DRFC Training Centre, we go beyond free taster sessions with our money back guarantee. This means that if you sign up to the Training Centre and for any reason your little ones don’t love their first session, we will provide you with a full refund. We are, however, confident that after your first session, you will love being part of the Rovers family. 

2. Can we just turn up and pay at the session?

We like people to book with us before attending the session. By booking on we can let your coach know you will be attending, keeping the session as safe and organised as possible. Contact our office at trainingcentre@clubdoncaster.co.uk to speak with our friendly team should you have any further questions.

3. What footwear does my child need?

Football boots (NO metal studs) or astro turf trainers are recommended for all football sessions. 

4. When will my first payment leave my account?

Your monthly membership fee will leave your account as soon as you book a place. Monthly fees are then charged on or around the same date every month based on the date of initial booking.

5. How do I get my kit?

We offer a very reasonably priced kit bundle to all new members. The kit bundle can be purchased on training nights at Academy reception next to the football pitches. The kit bundle costs £35 and includes; Top, shorts, socks and a jumper.

6. What is the cancellation process?

We understand that children’s interest can change and with this in mind parents are able to cancel their direct debit at any time. To cancel, we just ask parents to either email in or call us and we will cancel their direct debit for them.

It is also our passion at the Training Centre to keep improving every level of our service, so if there are any suggestions for improvement or we can help resolve any issues that have led to a cancellation, then please contact trainingcentre@clubdoncaster.co.uk.

7. Where am I on the waiting list?

Sometimes we do get fully booked and we have to place interested parents/children on a waiting list. When you are on the waiting list and a place becomes available, we will contact you via email, text or social media, whichever you have contacted us on.

8. Are your football sessions indoors or outdoors?

All of our football sessions are held outdoors on the excellent facilities at Eco-Power Stadium, DN4 5JW.

9. What happens in the football coaching sessions?

Our sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, energetic and interactive. All session plans are developed in partnership with Doncaster Rovers Academy and sessions are designed to support children to develop confidence, team building, social skills, just to name a few.

We are always developing new ways of coaching and teaming up with our colleagues at Doncaster Rovers to offer the best service we can. 

10. Is DRFC Training Centre ‘Term Time’ only?

Our sessions take place all year round, except Summer Half Term. 

Our Training Centre normally takes a two week break over the Christmas period, and this is usually down to venue availability during this time. We will be closed on certain bank holidays, specific days will be communicated upon sign up.

11. Do I have to re-enrol at the end of each month?

No, you don’t have to worry about that, your child’s place is secure with us and will continue until you choose to cancel.
